I was thinking about how my kids like to freeze the yogurt tubes you can buy at the store, and how there must be a good option for something a little healthier.  Ingredients in those – probably some stuff we can’t pronounce.

With only 5-minute prep time and 3 ingredients, it’s a quick and easy recipe for the ultimate yogurt tube upgrade.  It’s also versatile, where you could use different fruits based on what your kids like, or a different yogurt base.  Test some other fruits and variations and let us know what your family likes!

The Greek Yogurt Popsicle Ingredients

For this recipe, you’ll need a mold for making your own popsicles (or small individual cups for freezing), 1 16 oz. package of strawberries, 1 3/4 cups vanilla Greek yogurt, and the juice of 1/2 of a lemon.

A bowl of strawberries with 1 lemon and a container of chobani vanilla greek yogurt

How to Make these Healthy Sweet Treats

Wash the strawberries and pat them dry.

Cut the green part off the strawberries and put them into the blender.  An option my kids love is when I set a few aside and chop them into small pieces to put inside the popsicles. For kids who would like it fully smooth, you can skip that step!

All ingredients washed, and prepped for the blender, strawberries, lemon halves in a bowl and ready to go.

Add lemon juice and Greek yogurt.  Blend until smooth.

Pour the mixture into your popsicle mold.  Add fruit chunks, if using. Place in the freezer for 3-4 hours, then make your kids happy!

Tips for these Healthy Greek Yogurt Popsicles

  • Don’t have a popsicle mold?  Try using small individual disposable cups that kids can eat from with a spoon.   If I have made a little extra, I’ll put it into small cups the kids can eat like ice cream.
