Description

Looking for some healthier kids’ options to satisfy that sweet tooth?  This is a perfect sweet snack they will enjoy, and parents can feel good about giving them!

Ingredients

Scale

For this recipe, you’ll need a mold for making your own popsicles (or small individual cups for freezing)

  • 116 oz package of strawberries
  • 1 3/4 cups vanilla Greek yogurt
  • juice of 1/2 of a lemon

Instructions

  1. Wash the strawberries and pat them dry.
  2. Cut the green part off the strawberries and put them into the blender.  An option my kids love is when I set a few aside and chop them into small pieces to put inside the popsicles. For kids who would like it fully smooth, you can skip that step!
  3. Add lemon juice and Greek yogurt.  Blend until smooth.
  4. Pour the mixture into your popsicle mold.  Add fruit chunks in the bottom of the mold and throughout, if using.
  5. Place in the freezer for 3-4 hours, then make your kids happy!

Notes

  • Don’t have a popsicle mold?  Try using small individual disposable cups that kids can eat from with a spoon.   If I have made a little extra, I’ll put it into small cups the kids can eat like ice cream.
